Washington D.C. August 19,
2007. Peruvian American business owners that live in the
United States and are members of the Peruvian American
National Roundtable had agreed to initiate a series of
efforts to demonstrate their solidarity and their aid to
the victims of the earthquake that hit Peru
recently.
Daniel H. Jara, president of
PANR and President and CEO of the Statewide Hispanic
Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, initiated a series of
consultations with the members throughout the United
States in order to put into place and execute an
emergency relief fund for the victims of the earthquake
on August 15th.
"We express our solidarity
and our thoughts for the victims of this tragic natural
disaster that has caused thousands of
fellow Peruvian families to mourn friends and
relatives," stated Jara.
"We want to quickly establish
a system to accept donations from our members, Hispanic
entrepreneurs, business community and persons of good
will that wish to unite for this noble cause to help the
victims of this horrible ordeal," explained business
leader, Daniel H. Jara.
In a few days, we will be
reaching out to other Hispanic and mainstream Chambers
to help us in support of our program "PANR Peru
Earthquake Victims Relief
Fund".
Daniel H. Jara noted that
PANR has reached out to government officials in order to
encourage the assistance and cooperation of the American
people to the Earthquake victims during their time of
despair and agony.
